“When people stop thinking they can make a difference and transform the world, they become alienated.” Bono Vox
When I came across this sentence said by one of the most influential Christians in our time, the U2 lead singer, Bono, I was really pleased.
This sentence shows the perception of God’s promise for us, disciples of Christ, to be a blessing to all families on Earth. The promise that all families would be transformed as Christ’s life is in us, an incarnate testimony of life which God put in each one of us that has brought, is bringing, and will bring life in abundance to those who still don’t know the Creator in his fullness.
This is Paul’s testimony: to do everything to everyone in order to somehow win some. This is how our life must be as we serve the Kingdom.
This is the tone of SalEditora’s first book, The Revolution of the Mind, which I have the privilege to present this week to everyone of our faith family and to the rest of society.
This book was born out of the perception of a need I discovered, throughout the places where I have had the privilege to minister, so we can make a deeper reflection of the globalized and technological moment we live. This moment has brought unprecedented changes as never before in the history of humankind. The content is part of the School of Church Planters in the area of “The Emerging Generation” in a post-modern context.
To live the absolute truth in a world of constant changes and to keep the sense of the Holy Spirit in such crazy days is the great challenge for each one of us.
I am certain this book will help us to meditate or at least take us to periods of uncomfortable reflection in order for us to find the answers in God.
It is with great joy that I have the opportunity to see two dreams come true: SalEditora and my first book. I am sure we will still see even more of God’s fruit through this work.
Blessings, Pr Olgálvaro Bastos Jr
